“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. “  2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (King James Version)

The JMI Music Ministry is a redeemed group of warriors who serve as led by God. The music ministry is united with God’s choosen vessels who are singers and/or musicians. Each vessel is unique amd offers various gifts and talents to the body of Christ. Each time this unit assembles, 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 is declared (inwardly or openly) as the purpose.

Many of the singers have been apart of JMI since it’s inception. They have gone through the various transformations, including name changes which complimented the very attributes of each season of life. From the JMI Acapella Choir (Dec. 2003-2005) to the JMI Emmanuel Choir. Along with our very talented musicians, God truly revealed that in every aspect of our ministry and in our individual lives, ”He is with us”.

Though God remains as “Emmanuel” to us, a name change was called forth from Apostle Judd, on September 23, 2007.  The choir ministered so powerfully that the walls and mirrors began to sweat (LHCC in Durham, NC). God’s outpouring of His anointing was felt throughout the sanctuary, as each musician played and choir member sang from the depth of their souls. They fulfilled the foundation scripture: 2 Chronicles 5: 13-14. God through Apostle Judd declared that the choir was now “The Anointed Voices” Choir.

When the musicians and singers come together as one, the Spirit of God ministers, heals, delivers and set-free by His Presence. This is when the commission laid to their charge is fulfilled and heaven rejoices at their obedience as unto the Lord! As of August 2010, the choir, skilled musicians (Bro.Aaron Mills, Bro.Torrance Harrell, Bro. Aaron Turner, Bro. AJ Simmons, Bro. F. Bobby Hinton, Sis. Tenay Harrell, Bro. Justin Benjamin, and Sis. Diamond House), , and  anointed and appointed directors (Sis. Kwanya Thompson, Sis. Keir Morton-Manley, Sis. Sherell Williams, and Min. Donnie Smith) serve as the “ANOINTED VOICES OF PRAISE”.

You will find these instruments of praise serving every Sunday. Though the male choir serves on 2nd Sunday’s and the youth choir on 3rd Sunday’s at 11 am, the “Anointed Voices of Praise” are always “at-arms” to join with them for effective ministry.

“GOD’S ANGELS” is the JMI Youth Choir. These powerful servants minister through song every 3rd Sunday at the JMI Morning Worship Service (11 am). When these youth are not serving as a unit, some opt to sing with the “Anointed Voices of Praise” Choir. The harmonic sounds and joyful presence of these soliders, wage war on the devils kingdom as they sing to the glory of God. There are approximately 10-15 youth who actively serve in this area of ministry. These youth range in age 2-14. The youth choir provide all selections for the JMI Youth Summit in July. The directors of God’s Angels are Sis. Candice Hudson and Sis. Jennifer “Cheryl” Foxx. The youth also direct and lead selections as called upon.

The brotherhood of JMI is on a mission to save souls, by any means necessary. The males of JMI not only unite once a month for a breakfast fellowship, but they also sing. Their name derived from their willingness to serve with unconditional love for God and His people. “It’s In My Heart” denotes the Spirit of God using them as leaders on this battlefield of life.

Every male member of JMI is encouraged to serve God in some area of ministry. These men, joyfully sing every 2nd Sunday at both home services. Anytime the ministry travels they join the “Anointed Voices of Praise” as well as “God’s Angels” and set ambushments through the ministry of song.

The directors of this unit are Minister Donnie Smith and Bro. Ronnie Rollins.

At any time, the Spirit of God may shift the directors, singers and musicians to serve in various roles as needed. We are dependent upon the anointing of God to use each of us to magnify Him and edify the body. Therefore, we submit our will that the will of the Lord is fulfilled. The Chief Director, Musician and Singer is God. Apostle Judd and First Lady Judd both serve with this unit as leaders and guides for the fulfillment of the Word of God. You are welcome to come and join us for high Praise and Worship unto the Lord.
